LAS CLASES DE LA SRA. SCHULZE
Welcome to Sra. Schulze's classes at North Mecklenburg High School, home of the Vikings. We will be working together as a team to Rise Up Together to new levels of knowledge and achievement. As a native speaker, I hope to give you an advantage in understanding, access to grammar and culture. Check out the website. All the important information that you need is here. Remember that I am a language learner as well, so I understand the challenges ahead. All you need to do is ask for help when you need it, and work hard. Let's make 2019-2020 a great year!
Language B is a language acquisition course designed for students with some previous experience of the target language. In the language B course, students further develop their ability to communicate in the target language through the study of language, themes and texts. In doing so, they also develop conceptual understandings of how language works, as appropriate to the level of the course. (IB Guide, 2018)
This year all students are grouped as SL students to aclimate them to the Diploma Program process. ideologies, formats, and skills. After this year, students can choose to continue in the Standard Level or move to the Higher Level. For that decision, they should consult with their parents, guidance counselors and Spanish teachers. |
Honors Spanish 4 is considered to be the first year of the AP curriculum. This class is designed for those students who want to continue in their primary language track and to prepare them to successfully transition to the AP class the following year.
Therefore, this class uses the rubrics and measurements for the AP exam and some of the themes included in the new exam. Students are taught completely in Spanish during this class and are expected to maintain the target language at all times. |
